Residency:

In 2002, she completed 3 years Residency at the Veterans Health Administration in Baltimore, MD. In 2005, she was commissioned as an Active Duty Officer in the United States Army and completed another year residency in Fort Bragg, NC. Her focused training during this year was on reconstructive rear foot/ankle procedures and trauma.

Biography:

Following training she was assigned to Fort Stewart, GA where she acted as the Chief of the Podiatry Service for Winn Army Community Hospital, serving the Southeast region. In 2008, she left active duty to join her husband.

Dr. Vaikayee received five awards while serving the military. She was able to continue her service with the Department of Defense as a civilian surgical Podiatrist at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Landstuhl, Germany.

Dr. Vaikayee is Board Certified with the American Foot and Ankle College Surgeons (ACFAS) and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). She is the do-founder of Pro Active Podiatry. She also has a special interest in wound care, sports medicine, bio-mechanics and Geriatric medicine. She enjoys bowling, shooting, art, music, bee keeping and organic gardening.
