Joining our KCCHSD team are 3 Specialty Physicians who specialize in Wound Care with regard to their chosen specialties!
Dr. Parichart Vaikayee, MD (Dr. Kay as she is fondly called by all of us) is a Double-Board Certified Advanced Podiatrist.
Dr. Edward Arenson is the Medical Director for the Center of Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine. His specialty is Certified Neuro-Oncology.
Dr. Stephen Snively is a Plastic Surgeon and has dedicated his career to the management of the most challenging problems of reconstructive tissue repair and healing of complex wounds. Dr. Snively is the founding physician of the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine at Swedish Medical Center in Denver. He is also a Certified Physician in Advanced Wound Care.
Dr. Aaron Kovaleski is new to us, having started at the end of December 2019. His expertise brings our patients another service line. Dr. Kovaleski brings us the Endovenous ablation which cauterizes varicose veins. Once the vein has been put out of commission, the body will naturally absorb the tissue and the body will not attempt to push blood down the bad vein. He will also work on DVT's (deep vein thrombosis which is clot-related).
The above specialty doctors join our own family practitioners (Dr. Perez, Dr. Pimentel & Dr. Gititu), Dr. Hoppe and our Nurse Practitioners (Jesse Smith, Susan Dorman and Michelle Wright) are referring healthcare providers and mid-levels to the wound care clinic.
The wound care clinic and advanced wound care medicine (Hyperbaric Chamber) is available to all physicians in the Tri-State area of North, Central and Southeastern Colorado, Northwestern Kansas and Southwestern Nebraska and provides viable treatment that offers a "healing closer to home" option.
