Our Sponsorships and Community InvolvementTeddy Bear Clinics
Area Kindergarten classes from 7 different schools will be coming to KCCHSD in mid to late April 2019. Each kindergartner will receive their very own teddy bear, a coloring book with crayons and a little bag to put all of their goodies inside. They are given tours throughout the various departments in the hospital such as the Imaging department, the lab, emergency room, etc. They'll learn the importance of hand-washing and while their teddy bear is being examined, the students learn about the different equipment in a doctor's office. The purpose of this clinic is to learn what it is like to come to the hospital and how nice we are so they won't need to be afraid to come here. We are looking forward to seeing each of their smiling faces.
